How am I eligible for a refund from the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival class action lawsuit settlement?

Individuals who attended the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival and purchased Magic Money and who did not receive a chargeback or refund for their purchase may qualify for a refund as a result of the class action lawsuit settlement. 

What is Magic Money?

Magic Money is a wristband-based payment platform used by fairs, venues, music festivals, sports events and other attractions. Magic Money was the exclusive means to participate in the carnival rides and games at the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival.

How do I check if I am eligible for a refund? 

To check your eligibility, please visit the official settlement website www.magicmoneyrefund.com or contact the settlement administrator at magicmoneyrefund@potts-law.com for detailed information. Provide the necessary details to confirm your eligibility.

How will I receive my refund?

Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive an automatic refund of their Magic Money purchases to whichever debit or credit card was used. Eligible class members who paid with cash or another means will receive a settlement check if they provide proof of purchase. 

When can I expect to receive my refund?

The timing of refunds may vary. As the settlement is finalized, the administration will work to process refunds promptly and attempt to process all eligible refunds by April 2024. 

Can I choose the method of receiving my refund?

No, the refund method is predetermined by the settlement terms, which states that refunds will be returned to the original payment method.

What if my card information has changed since the festival?

The automatic refund will be paid directly via original payment method for the Magic Money purchase for the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival. Eligible class members who paid with cash or any payment means other than debit and credit card, and did not receive an automatic refund, may receive a reimbursement by check for each of their Magic Money purchases for the 2021 Astroworld Music Festival after submitting a valid claim.

Can I appeal if I do not receive a refund?

If there is a dispute regarding a refund or reimbursement of a valid claim, you must submit a dispute to settlement class counsel.
